The Streakin’ Scaffies, made up of waste-disposal workers based at Friarton, took on a team of prison officers in a charity football match in aid of Tayside Deaf Association on Saturday. The game, on the synthetic pitch at McDiarmid Park, was preceded by a strip presentation to the Scaffies by Binn Skips. £400 has been raised and was supplemented by a raffle which was held at the post-match event at the Civil Service Club. Organisers would like to thank St Johnstone for kindly agreeing to hire the pitch for a reduced rate.
