THE WEATHER was not too kind to Scottish ski centres again yesterday but snow is forecast for most up to and during the weekend.
Cairn Gorm had some snow overnight but the winds forced a closure by 2.30 of the funicular and the other three uplifts running.
The 160 skiers were outnumbered by the 242 sightseers on the railway.
Nevis Range had just the gondola system and the Alpha Tow or the artificial slope with 150 people up the mountain in total—most of them sightseers.
New snow has improved things a little at Glenshee but there are only three runs open and they are thin and narrow in the middle.
There were 60 out but snow is forecast and the centre hopes to be busier at the weekend.
The Lecht has no main runs but had around 60 on the beginners’ area on a clear and sunny day.
Glencoe has still to re-open after its planned two-day closure last week.
