A MAJOR housing development could see 69 new homes built on a playing field north of the village of Guardbridge.
Proposals have been unveiled for 42 houses and 27 flats between Motray Park and the reservoir.
The plans are a resubmission of earlier proposals and have been submitted to Fife Council in the name of the Guardbridge Partnership, which owns the land.
A previous planning application for a development of 30 houses and 26 flats by Curtis Fine Papers was withdrawn last year.
Plans show four-bedroom houses and four three-storey blocks of flats.
They also show a seating area by the reservoir, a play area and a kickabout area.
The applicants are also seeking consent to create associated parking and amenity space.
The site is designated for housing in the Local Plan.
