A PRISONER accused of escaping during a visit to Perth Royal Infirmary made a second appearance at Perth Sheriff Court yesterday.

Flanked by six Reliance officers, George McGeoch (36) appeared in private on petition.

McGeoch, of Glasgow, is charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice by escaping from custody while on an escorted trip to a hospital appointment.

He also faces charges alleging abduction and theft and threatening Reliance escort staff with a knife.

McGeoch was fully committed, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
