Evening for bereaved to remember

EACH YEAR a group of bereaved parents and staff from Perth Royal Infirmary arrange a short Time for Remembering, held in one of Perth’s churches.

This year’s event is at St Ninian’s Cathedral, North Methven Street on Wednesday March 12 at 7.30pm.

A short act of remembering will include the lighting of candles in memory of those who have died before, during or soon after the time of birth.

The Rev John Birrell, Chaplain at PRI, said, “Over the last 12 years this annual gathering has become recognised as a valuable time of support and encouragement where parents and others can remember these children in the safe and supportive company of others who have experienced similar losses.”

Representatives of support groups will attend and entries in the Memorial Books can be viewed.
