A TESCO employee from Dundee has won an award for her contribution to the British Red Cross.
Ruby Young (57) won the best fund-raising individual from a store prize for her efforts to raise money for the supermarket chain’s charity of the year 2007.
Ruby, who works at Tesco Extra, Kingsway, organised tombolas, race nights, fancy dress days and raffles to collect more than £11,000.
All the money raised by Tesco for the British Red Cross in 2007 will be spent locally on first aid training, emergency equipment and care-in-the-home services.
