AN INTERIM report into the tragic death of a seven-year-old Dundee boy at the Olympia Centre has now been submitted to the procurator fiscal by the Health and Safety Executive.
However, an HSE spokesman said it is still likely to be some time before a full report into Luke Hutton’s death has been completed.
The St Fergus Primary School pupil’s body was found in September under covers that had been placed over the pool manually by Olympia staff.
The executive’s spokesman said the case was more complicated than they had originally thought, leading to delays in the original timescale for submission of reports.
HSE officers were at Olympia yesterday to conduct some further inquiries as their investigation continued.
The procurator fiscal in Tayside is awaiting the final report before deciding what, if any, action should be taken following Luke’s death.
Tayside Police have finished their examination and submitted their report to the fiscal’s office in January.
