DUNFERMLINE’S TAM McManus is waiting to hear if he will be continuing his career Stateside.
Last week, the 27-year-old striker had yet to agree terms with MLS side Colorado Rapids, and yesterday Pars director of football Jim Leishman said there was still no deal.
Leishman told Courier Sport, “We’ve not heard anything from the club and we haven’t spoken to his agent since last week, but nowadays that’s normal.
“The ball’s in their court just now and Tam is still a Dunfermline player.”
McManus was ill at the start of the week, but would otherwise have been available for selection for the league game on Tuesday night.
It is not the first time the player has been linked to another club.
In January, he looked set to move to Kilmarnock but the deal fell through.
He later told The Courier he would have relished another shot at the SPL, but his American agent has since been in touch with the Rapids.
“His agent is American and deals with American teams,” said Leishman.
“The Colorado manager has seen Tam play and must have been impressed.”
The Denver club has only been going since 1995.
Their first MLS fixture of the season is against David Beckham’s team, LA Galaxy, on March 29.
