Call for volunteers

THE CHARITY Save the Children is looking for volunteers to run their shop in Kinnoull Street, Perth.

The appeal comes as the charity begins its biggest-ever global campaign in its 90-year history to reduce the number of children who die before their fifth birthday.

“Volunteers from all walks of life are encouraged to get in touch and we’re always hugely grateful for whatever time they can give, even if it’s an hour a week,” said Rob McMillan, Save the Children’s retail manager for Scotland.

“Our shifts are flexible to suit volunteers and the work is varied from managing other volunteers to creating eye-catching window displays to finding treasures amongst the donations and promoting our wider campaigns to customers,” Mr McMillan added.

Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to contact Iain Cave on 0131 527 216 or by Email to i.cave@savethechildren.org.uk
