IT IS likely to be the summer before the procurator fiscal decides whether to take court action following the drowning of a seven- year-old boy in a Dundee swimming pool.
Luke Hutton drowned in the Olympia swimming pool on September 29.
Although police have concluded their report into his death, the procurator fiscal’s office in Dundee is still awaiting the Health and Safety Executive’s final report into the tragedy.
Luke was discovered drowned under covers that had been placed over the deep end of the pool, half an hour after it had been closed to the public.
A spokeswoman for the procurator fiscal’s office said yesterday it was likely to be as late as summer before it is decided how to proceed with the case.
“We have received an interim report from the Health and Safety Executive, but they have said it is likely to be several weeks before they finish the final report,” she said.
