History of town revealed in play

COUPAR ANGUS Heritage Youth Group is presenting a play next week to inform the local community about its history.

The group, which meets on a Thursday night in the YWCA, has been learning about the town’s past as part of its heritage project, thanks to a £23,800 from the Heritage Lottery Fund, presented by locally-based TV personality, Lorraine Kelly.

After visits to the town’s heritage shop, where they worked with staff and embarking on field trips, the group is now ready to present its work on Sunday and Monday night at Coupar Angus Town Hall.

The opening night tomorrow is for VIPs and the Monday performance is for the general public, starting at 6.30pm.
