DUNDEE’S enterprising teenagers have been singled out for praise after they displayed their tech-savvy approach to making money in a nationwide survey.
According to an online survey by internet supplier Virgin Media, more than one-in-five 13-18 year olds in the area are making money from their own bedrooms by wheeling and dealing on auction sites like eBay, setting up their own online shops, or making profits from online advertising on their own forums and blogs.
The findings show a startling 19% of young people in and around the city make £100 to £200 a month online.
James Kydd, brand and marketing managing director at Virgin Media said, “Sir Richard Branson founded the Virgin Group on the same drive and ambition being shown by teenagers in Dundee.”
