DUNFERMLINE STRIKER Tam McManus should complete his move to Major League Soccer team Colorado Rapids within the next couple of days.
McManus has been in America for more than a week undergoing medicals and training with the US outfit, who are keen for him to put pen to paper.
Colorado’s season kicks off on Saturday with a game against David Beckham’s LA Galaxy side.
Pars director of football Jim Leishman confirmed yesterday the 27-year-old was on the verge of signing.
“Tam’s finally agreed to go. He’s had all his medicals.”
It was thought McManus would have to return to Scotland to sign his release forms, but it now seems he may stay on in the States.
“He might not come back,” Leishman added. “Their season is about to start.”
The move was brokered by McManus’s American agent.
Meanwhile, Leishman dismissed suggestions Dunfermline were about to go into administration as “utter rubbish.”
He told Courier Sport, “It’s just speculation on a website. I can’t believe you asked me about that.”
