Shoppers in Dundee were left rubbing their eyes when bra-clad women brought a busy shopping centre’s window display to life on Saturday.
In the Lady Greys Triumph tour a group of five models stripped down to their bras in Debenhams at the Overgate in an attempt to encourage women to understand the importance of wearing the correct bra size and style.
They gave four 15-minute performances, set to music, which showed them acting out scenarios where women were wearing ill-fitting bras and the desired correct fit.
Tour spokeswoman Jane Fenlon-Smith said, “This is bra fit week for Debenhams and, as one of the leading brands in the store, Triumph decided to organise these fun events.
“It’s aimed at displaying spring’s new fashions while also encouraging women to come in and get a free bra fitting—a theatrical way of catching the imagination.
“It’s estimated that seven out of ten women still wear the wrong size bra and some ladies can be shy about being fitted, so we are making it acceptable and having a bit of fun with the serious message about the importance of wearing the right bra,” Jane said.
The wrong bra can have negative health and well-being effects on women including back problems, damaging breast tissue and affecting the look of outer clothing.
