POLICE were last night trying to identify a woman who fell to her death from a multi-storey block in Menzieshill earlier in the day.
Detectives are seeking to name the female confirmed dead by police shortly after they arrived at the Gowrie Court building at 1.15pm.
Officers were called to the scene after the woman was seen to fall from the eleventh floor of the building.
Despite inquiries in the block of flats, officers have not yet been able to identify the woman.
Detective Sergeant Colin Gall said, “We have checked with those who live in the block of flats and, at this stage in our inquiries, it would appear that this woman is not a resident.
“She has no personal identification on her so we are relying on someone recognising her description and coming forward with a name for us.”
The woman is in her early 20s, of slim build and has shoulder length dyed blonde hair.
She was wearing a brown Moto make jacket, a pair of blue House of Denim jeans with silver sequins on the right front and rear pockets, a light brown Paul and Shark round neck top and a pair of silver pump shoes.
Anyone who can identify the woman should get in touch with police on Dundee 223200 or speak to any officer.
