Man due in court remains missing

POLICE ARE becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 59-year-old Dundee man who has been missing since April 10.

Angus McKenzie Small was due in court to face charges alleging sex offences against two young girls in the late 1960s and 1970s.

Mr Small, of Melrose Terrace, Dundee, left his red Nissan Micra car for repair at a garage in Strathmore Avenue around 10.30am and has not returned since to collect it.

An extensive review of the city’s CCTV systems for the same date has also established that he was in the city centre soon after and was last seen in St Andrews Street, heading in the direction of the bus station in Seagate, shortly before 11am.

A police spokes- person said, “There have been no confirmed sightings of him since, although it is possible that he is now outwith the Tayside area and may even have travelled to England.

“To this end, Tayside Police officers are liaising with other UK police forces in an effort to trace Mr Small.”

The missing man is described as being 5ft 8in tall, with short brown hair thinning at the crown, brown eyes, and a paunch.

He is also bow-legged and is said to walk with a hobble.

He was wearing a grey fleece, blue jeans and black trainers.

He also had a black or dark blue hold-all with him, which bears a white emblem on it (possibly adidas).

The indictment against Mr Small alleges that between August 1969 and 1971 he used lewd and libidinous practices toward a six-year-old girl and that between 1971 and 1977 and 1977 and 1978 he used lewd and libidinous practices towards another young girl.
