POLICE WERE last night searching for two young girls missing from their homes in Ballingry in Fife since Thursday evening.
Friends Chelsie Innes (13) and Siobhan Connor (16) have not been seen since meeting up to go to the cadet hall in the town’s Navitie Park.
They did not arrive at the hall and failed to return home.
Last night police said they are becoming increasingly concerned for their well-being.
A third girl, aged 12, was also being sought by the police.
However, she returned home safe and well late last night, a spokesman for Fife Constabulary said.
Searches were carried out at the family homes yesterday and police contacted relatives and friends in a bid to trace the girls.
Inspector Douglas Goldie, who is leading the inquiry, said the girls had been missing since around 9.15pm on Thursday.
Chelsie is described as 5ft 4in, of slim build with blue eyes and red/auburn straight collar length hair.
She has piercings to both ears and a pierced belly button and was wearing a pink Bench jacket, white shirt and black trousers and jumper when last seen.
Siobhan is 4ft 9in, of slim build with bobbed bleached blonde hair.
She has braces fitted to her upper teeth. When last seen, she was wearing a pink vest top with a grey cropped cardigan, blue jeans with cuts on the knees and pink and white Nike trainers.
Inspector Goldie appealed to the girls to return home or at least make contact with their families or police.
He said, “They are not in any trouble—we are merely concerned for their safety and I would urge anyone who has seen the girls, or has any information as to their whereabouts, to contact Fife Constabulary on 0845 6005702 as soon as possible.”
