A WORKMAN spent several hours stuck on a hydraulic platform in Fife yesterday.

The man, understood to be from Bear Scotland, was working on lighting on the A92 near Balfarg junction at Glenrothes when the apparatus jammed.

A resident of Balfarg who could see the platform from his home said he noticed it was stuck at around 3pm.

It was around 7.20 pm before the man was lowered safely to the ground.

No one from Bear Scotland was available for comment last night.
