DUNFERMLINE WILL finalise the signing of Stirling Albion’s Steven Bell in a fortnight but will have to wait a little longer to complete the acquisition of Bell’s fellow pre-contract agreement capture Austin McCann.

“Steven is out of contract on May 12 but Austin doesn’t become a free agent until June,” boss Jim McIntyre said yesterday.

The Pars remain in the dark over whether Darren Young, who has been linked with a return to Aberdeen, is going to re-sign.

“Darren has been made an offer and it’s up to him to come back to us,” said McIntyre. “But I’ve not set him a deadline.”

Bell was named Stirling’s young player of the year, with captain Chris Aitken taking the player of the year honours.
