DUNDEE LAST NIGHT pledged to pursue their interest in Clyde central defender Craig McKeown despite the player needing another operation.
McKeown, tied up on a pre-contract deal by the Dark Blues since January, has a hernia problem that requires surgery to fix.
That could have placed a question mark over his move to Dens Park.
However chief executive Dave MacKinnon is relaxed about the prospect of recruiting McKeown, who has been under the knife twice previously to sort a similar injury.
“Any player who is joining Dundee has a full medical before signing for the club,” said MacKinnon.
“I can confirm we are aware of Craig’s medical history.
“However we do not envisage there being any problem.”
The rumour mill has SPL-bound Hamilton being linked with a last-gasp move for McKeown, but the Dark Blues are confident of seeing the deal through.
