DUNDEE AUTHOR Andrew Nicoll launched his first novel last night.

Around 50 people attended an event at the city’s Waterstone’s to celebrate publication of The Good Mayor.

The book—described as a magical love story—has been pegged for national success, with Waterstone’s already selecting it as its Scottish book for May.

Born and raised in Dundee, Mr Nicoll said he was thrilled to see his novel on the shelves after years of hard work.

“It is an amazing thing,” he said.

“It is just great so many people have come along to support the book at the launch.”
