DUNFERMLINE ARE hoping Airdrie United midfielder Graeme Holmes will sign on the dotted line at the start of next week.
Pars boss Jim McIntyre says he is keen to add the former Dundee United player to his squad for next season.
McIntyre has been keeping an eye on the 24-year-old and said yesterday that Holmes had done well for Airdrie.
“We are in discussions with Graeme and we are well down the line with him,” he told Courier Sport. “He’s not put pen to paper yet.
“We’ve been watching him at Airdrie and he’s done really well for them.”
Holmes began his career at Dundee United and was at Tannadice while McIntyre was there.
The midfielder played just three games as substitute for the first team before moving to Dumbarton on loan in 2005.
He joined Airdrie in 2005 and has played more than 60 times for them.
