Exhibition reflects on childhood

WORK BY artist Carol McLinden will go on display at the Showcase Gallery in Perth today.

Carol will be on hand to officially open her exhibition at the gallery, which features a number of nostalgic scenes painted from her childhood memories of Arbroath.

The exhibition, which runs until June 15, includes more than 30 paintings.

Carol’s work has featured in a number of galleries and, more recently, at an exhibition in Arbroath, where she grew up.

She now lives in Dunfermline where she teaches art to adults and children.

“My work is varied and the subjects can range from landscapes to nudes,” she said.

“I paint from the heart so there is always some meaning for me in each painting.

“Observers of my work will hopefully feel something of what I felt when I painted them.”
