THERE WAS a definite buzz of excitement outside Perth Concert hall on Saturday afternoon as youngsters drew shoppers’ attention to the plight of Scottish wildlife.
Perth Youth Theatre was asked by the Tayside Local Biodiversity Action Plan partnership to perform a piece of street theatre as part of Scottish Biodiversity Week.
Their aim was to highlight the plight of bee and bird species currently under threat of extinction.
The colourful spectacle was thought to be the country’s first biodiversity event of its kind and its unusual nature ensured its inclusion in the top 10 events in Scotland for Scottish Biodiversity week, which runs until Sunday.
It will see communities throughout the country exploring habitats and species.
