PUPILS FROM schools across Dundee gathered at the city’s Whitehall Theatre last night to perform a lively show packed with popular and traditional tunes.
Singular Singsation saw members of the Youth Music Initiative, the Dundee Schools Music Theatre and its post-development group Back to Back demonstrating their talents in a one-off show.
The youngsters, ranging from primary four to sixth year, performed a diverse selection of songs from works by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Rogers and Hammerstein to a traditional Scottish selection.
It is the third year such a production has been staged and Dundee Schools Music Theatre administrator Alison Strachan said the auditorium was packed with proud friends and family.
“The show gives the children a chance to showcase their work,” she explained. “This is a culmination of their year’s work.”
