A BODY lay undiscovered in a Perth flat for over two weeks, it has been revealed, writes Dave Lord.
The body of a 37-year-old man was discovered only after suspicious neighbours contacted the police.
A police spokesman yesterday confirmed that officers made the grisly find in a flat on the Tulloch housing estate on Saturday night.
The Courier understands that there are “medical reasons” behind the death and police have stated there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.
The dead man, who has not been named, had not been seen by neighbours since the beginning of this month.
“Tayside Police attended at an address in Tulloch Terrace, Perth on Saturday evening following the sudden death of a 37-year-old man,” the spokesman said.
“It is understood that the deceased may have lain undiscovered since early this month.”
The spokesman confirmed that the discovery was made after neighbours of the dead man got in touch.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course,” he added.
