Raising money for Tenovus

At the event were (back, from left) antique centre director Bob Templeman and manager Margaret Clark, with charity representatives Chris Fowlie, Lady Fiona Fraser, Jim Wilson, Moyra Ogilvie and Shona Walker. Front—Mary Graham and Professor Peter Howie (charity chairman).

A CHEESE and wine evening was held at the Scottish Antique Centre in Abernyte last night to raise funds for the charity Tenovus Tayside.

Supporters of the charity attended the event, which allowed them to look at and buy antiques while enjoying music from a pianist and clarsach harp player.

Mary Graham, chairwoman of the charity’s ladies committee, said, “The fund-raising committee organises a lot of various events like this to help raise money for Tenovus Tayside, although most money comes from outside grants.

“The money raised stays in Tayside and funds research based in the university or at Ninewells Hospital.”
