THE PRIME Minister’s wife, Sarah Brown, officially opened the new office of Fife’s Labour MSPs in Methil yesterday.

Councillors and community activists were present, as Mrs Brown cut the ribbon at the Wellesley Road address, which will house two constituency staff and act as a base for Claire Baker and John Park.

Mrs Brown said, “I’m delighted to be able to come along and officially open Claire and John’s regional office.

“It’s great that people in Methil and across Mid Scotland and Fife have an office where they know they can speak to their MSPs and come to them to get their issues resolved.”

This is the first time an MSP office has been located in the Levenmouth area, with locals being encouraged to make contact for help and advice.

Mrs Baker said, “It’s great to be up and running and I’m delighted we’ve now got the office officially open in Methil. I want to see a fair deal for everyone in Mid Scotland and Fife and I’ll work very hard over the next few years to that aim.”

Mr Park added, “As an MSP it’s up to us to reach out to constituents as much as we can, having an office in the area will help me do so across the whole of Mid Scotland and Fife.”
