Strange stories about city abound

Sharon at the launch in Dundee.

AUTHOR AND publisher Sharon McPherson was at the Dundee branch of Waterstone’s on Commercial Street last night to sign copies of her new book, Dew on the Law and Other Strange Stories about a Scottish City.

Ms McPherson has thrown more than her literary talent into her second work, using the proceeds from the sale of her Dundee flat to support her young publishing company and its new title.

She said, “After the success of my first title, A Skirt Around Dundee: A Walker’s Guide to the City, I recognised the demand by Dundonians at home and abroad for local titles.

“As a Dundonian myself, I know of the Dundonians’ passion for books and felt that taking the financial risk to develop my company will be worth it.”

Ms McPherson, who writes under the pseudonym Cambrella McMahon, set up Pumpkin Press in 2006, while a literature student at Dundee University.
