ANIMAL SANCTUARY staff in Angus are celebrating the success of their open day.

The Mountains sanctuary at Milton of Ogil welcomed a host of visitors at the weekend, who have delivered a financial boost of over £6000.

Mountains owner Alan Fraser said the event was their most successful yet, both in terms of money raised and the public response.

“It is a fantastic sum, and we would thank everyone who supported the open day,” said Mr Fraser, praising his staff for the hard work they put in to make the event a success.

Mountains is working towards funding a new £50,000 hay barn and also creating a new pets corner at the sanctuary, which is best known for taking in horses, ponies and donkeys.
