A deer named Taylor

Ranger Alistair MacLeod with Taylor.

A TINY orphan roe deer found curled up on the Lomond Hills near Falkland is now well on the way to recovery in the tender care of the Scottish Deer Centre near Cupar.

The little creature—thought to be only about two weeks old—is being hand-fed by staff who have even been taking him home to make sure he is kept nourished.

Until yesterday he was nameless but a visit from our photographer changed that and now he is called Taylor, the middle name of snapper Dougie Nicholson.
