Continental market visits

A flavour of the continent was on offer to open air Forfar shoppers yesterday. The Myre was host to the town’s first continental market where professional traders from nations such as France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Poland and Turkey were offering everything from sausages to soap. Stallholders also brightened up proceedings by wearing traditional costume. Pictured here are Forfar Academy pupils (from left) Katya Hay, Becka Fletcher, Karlene Douglas and Rachel Ironside trying out some pesto sauces with stallholder Giancuca Piccirillo.
