ONE-TIME Dundee United trialist Scott Jamieson has returned home to Australia to sign for Adelaide United, writes Ian Roache.

The former Bolton player had been told by Tannadice boss Craig Levein that he would find a place for him in pre-season training.

However, Levein said, “I made it clear there were no guarantees of a deal so I can understand why he has taken up a firm offer instead.”

United have confirmed their interest in Sunderland striker Roy O’Donovan.
