EAST FIFE Football Club have answered a Cupar primary school’s appeal for donations to help a school in Uganda.
The club responded to Castlehill Primary’s request for anything to help children in the African country, with teacher Kate Nicoll due to deliver equipment in July.
At present, the pupils of Kitwetwe Primary School in Uganda play with a ball composed of grasses wound up to form the shape of a ball.
With that in mind, the club handed over its past season’s training tops, rain jackets and several match balls to the cause, with three sackfuls of football kit given to the pupils.
After the handover this week, Mrs Nicoll and children from Castlehill Primary were given a tour of East Fife’s Bayview Stadium.
