Police plea after shot injures teenager

POLICE OFFICERS in Arbroath have made an appeal for information following a shooting incident in the town that left a teenager injured last week.

Police revealed yesterday that they are now seeking witnesses in relation to the incident, which occurred in Dishlandtown Street at about 10.20pm on Wednesday, June 25.

During the incident a BB (ball bearing) gun was fired at a 15-year-old boy who was passing by. The boy was subsequently treated for an eye injury.

The person responsible is described as a male, approximately 15 years of age, of medium build and riding a BMX bicycle. The youth was seen to ride off into the Millgate Loan area.
