A 20-YEAR-OLD man is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today in connection with an alleged sexual assault in Leven at the weekend.

Fife police said last night that they had been carrying out inquiries into the incident, which took place in the early hours of yesterday morning.

During the investigations, parts of Leven town centre were cordoned off for several hours.

The man leading the inquiry, Detective Sergeant David McLaren, confirmed that the man would be appearing from custody in connection with the alleged offence.
