Man killed in pile-up named

POLICE YESTERDAY named the man who died in a three-lorry pile-up on the A9 near Kingussie on Thursday.

He was Alexander Warden (64) from Arbroath.

Another man was airlifted after suffering serious head and leg injuries.

Emergency services raced down the road again yesterday after a reported two-vehicle smash three miles south of Dalwhinnie—just before the Northern Constabulary boundary with Tayside.

It is understood that no-one was seriously injured and traffic was able to proceed, albeit slowly, on the main road.
