Visitors to the Scottish Crannog Centre at Kenmore on Loch Tay were yesterday invited to learn the art of prehistoric canoe carving. Axe-wielding Michael Jack was one of the crannog crew on hand to teach the use of bronze age tools and help participants build a dugout canoe, starting from scratch on a metre-and-a-half length of tree trunk.
