SENTENCING IN the case of a man who raped a schoolgirl while on the run from Castle Huntly Open Prison near Dundee was adjourned for a fourth time at the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday.
The case of Robert Foye (28) set in motion an inquiry, ordered by Scottish Government ministers, into the regime at Castle Huntly.
Foye pleaded guilty at the High Court in Glasgow in January to assaulting the 16-year-old in his native Cumbernauld last August.
He had been allowed out of Castle Huntly to attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and had been on the run for almost a week when he attacked the girl.
Foye was halfway through a 10-year sentence for attempting to murder a CID officer when he fled.
Judge Lady Smith previously told Foye she is considering having him placed under strict supervision for the rest of his life.
When Foye (28) appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday, she told him the specialist report she required was not ready yet.
Sentence was deferred until August 6.
