Summer festival finale

Aberdour’s 25th anniversary summer festival came to an end at the weekend with a host of fun events, including beach volleyball (see photograph on Page 8), a sand castle competition and the ever popular raft race. Many of this weekend’s events were held on the Black Sands, but over the past 10 days residents and visitors have been treated to everything from performances by Jean Redpath to poetry recitals. There have been fireworks, fancy dress competitions, blues, reggae, a brass band, songs of praise, tarot readings, dancing and fun runs. Our pictures show (left) Barry Trentham as he places one of the arrangements in the St Columba’s Church Flower Festival; and (right) sand castle participants Anna Harris, Sam McCormack and Laura Harris.
