LOCALS AND visitors will get the rare opportunity to see inside the north abutment of Dunkeld Bridge.
Dunkeld and Birnam Historical Society will host an exhibition about the construction of the bridge within the abutment, which was at one time suggested for use as a jail.
This event is part of Perth and Kinross Doors Open Day, on the weekend of September 20-21, when a host of buildings and attractions throughout the area will be giving people the chance to visit places that are not usually open to the public, for free.
Participating in the Doors Open Day will be Perth Sheriff Court, Tibbermore Parish Church, Dunkeld Cathedral and Innerpeffray Chapel among many others.
Doors Open Day is organised and funded by Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust.
