A DUNDEE chiropractor has snapped, cracked and popped his way to becoming Tayside’s top young entrepreneur.
Cade Sutherland scooped £1000 after being named as the regional winner of the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
The 26-year-old Australian founded Dundee Chiropractic in February last year to provide rehabilitation from sports and occupational injury as well as traditional chiropractic services.
The firm has proven a great hit with the public and it now has clinics in Dundee and Fife, with plans for a third under way.
Aside from offering a top quality range of services, Cade was also praised by the judging panel for the skilful marketing strategy that he had adopted in establishing his business.
Cade was yesterday presented with his award on a visit to sponsors GA Engineering’s premises at West Pitkerro Industrial Estate.
Runner-up was former Monifieth High School pupil Claire Smith, who formed her Caledonian Gifts firm in 2006.
PSYBT regional manager Catherine Ward said, “These young entrepreneurs represent some of the most talented, creative and dedicated business people in Scotland today and we are delighted to be able to recognise and reward their achievements through these awards.”
Cade will now be considered to go forward for the national final in Glasgow’s Barony Hall on November 17, where six of the 18 regional winners will compete for the overall Scottish title.
