A BASIC Moves Festival was held in the Ardler Complex last night..

Basic Moves and Basic Games is a Dundee City Council co-ordinated programme that provides physical activity to children living in disadvantaged areas across the city.

Primary 1–5 pupils from the Lynch Sports Centre, Kirkton Community Centre, DISC, Ardler Complex, Boys Brigade Hall, Whitfield Community Centre and Sidlaw View Primary School have been attending the classes since they began in 2007.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for children from across the city to come together and participate in the Basic Moves and Basic Games Festival, and will give the children the opportunity to showcase and display their new skills while having fun and meeting new people,” said leisure, arts and communities convener Councillor Richard McCready.

All the children received certificates for participating and a Basic Moves T-shirt.
