THE FIRST ever £1 million pot of the People’s Postcode Lottery has been won by residents of Kinross.

A special St Andrew’s Day party has been organised to celebrate the windfall for a group of lucky locals at which the exact amount each of them has won will be revealed.

All of the players in KY13 8 will share in the fund and on Sunday organisers will be announcing the full postcode of the lucky street prizewinners.

Everybody is invited to Sunday’s party, which takes place between 2 and 4pm at Market Park, with entertainment by The Dykeenies and The Rockettes. There will also be fireworks and free food.

Street prize presenter Angus Purden will be on hand to surprise the lucky winners.

The People’s Postcode Lottery has a weekly £30,000 street prize. There will also be three larger prize “Postcode Belters” next year.
