TWO MEN appeared before a sheriff in Kirkcaldy in connection with the death of Mark White (31) in Glenrothes.

Stuart Whyte (29), of Leven, and Barry Kidd (28), of Ladybank, both appeared on a petition alleging assault, robbery and murder.

Kidd also appeared on charges alleging malicious mischief and perverting the course of justice.

Both made no plea or declaration and their cases were continued for further examination. They were remanded in custody.

Mr White, who had learning difficulties, was found dead at his home in Altyre Avenue, Pitteuchar, on Thursday.
