FOUR DECADES of dedicated service were recognised when the Perthshire Society of Natural Science honoured secretary Rhoda Fothergill at its annual meeting.

A party at Perth Museum and Art Gallery to mark the milestone included the past presidents of the organisations with whom Ms Fothergill has served.

A noted local historian, Ms Fothergill is well known for her involvement in many groups and organisations including, as a founder member, Perth Civic Trust. She was also a recipient of the D K Thomson Award for her services to preserving the history and heritage of the area.
