A PERTH taxi driver has died from the serious head injuries he suffered in a collision on Dundee’s Kingsway last Sunday.

Tayside Police confirmed that Gavin McCabe (41), who had been in a critical but stable condition at Ninewells Hospital, passed away on Saturday night.

Mr McCabe’s 33-year-old passenger suffered serious shoulder injuries in the crash between the blue Skoda Superb taxi and a grey BMW 1 Series coupe.

The 35-year-old male BMW driver escaped with relatively minor injuries.

Tayside Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 0300 111 2222.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
