THE BODY of Aberdeenshire accountant Trevor Adams was discovered at a popular Perthshire beauty spot, police revealed yesterday.
A nationwide hunt was launched for Mr Adams after the 44-year-old was reported missing by his wife Coreen last week.
The search ended at the weekend when his body was found at the Falls of Bruar by Tayside Police search and rescue team.
His car was spotted at the House of Bruar, just off the A9 Perth to Inverness road, and a search of the the area around the Falls of Bruar and the gorge resulted in the recovery of Mr Adams’ body downstream of the falls.
He had been employed as a financial controller by Turriff-based livestock feed firm, Harbro, and also acted as treasurer and trustee for Colony Park FC and Garioch Sports Centre.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
