TAYSIDE POLICE have arrested and charged an 18-year-old Dundee man in connection with the death of Scott Emslie early on Saturday morning.

Mr Emslie (19), who lived in Forth Crescent, Menzieshill, was found lying in Brown Street at 3am, police confirmed.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and he was taken to Ninewells Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

A police investigation was launched immediately after the discovery and the street was cordoned off between Hawkhill and Douglas Street while investigations were carried out.

Scenes of crimes officers carried out a thorough examination on Saturday morning, taking detailed photographs.

A report is to be forwarded to the procurator fiscal.

The man has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court tomorrow.
