A DUNDEE woman found yet another way to raise money for Maggie’s Centre having already raised in excess of £35,000 for the venue and Breast Cancer Care.

Arlene Fenton, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, came up with the idea of holding a Virgin Vie cosmetics party for centre patients to come along with family and friends.

Champagne and strawberries were available alongside cosmetic products ranging from skincare to make-up.

Nail painting and makeovers were also on offer.

Ms Fenton said, “I’m always raising money for Maggie’s as we receive no money from the government or the NHS.

“I’ve done four fashion shows before tonight and raised a fortune.”

Around 50 women turned out for the event in the centre, and hundreds of pounds was collected.

All entry fees plus money raised from raffles has been donated to Maggie’s.
